A Turkish airlines crash killed at least 9 people and
left 50 others injured – 25 of them seriously – on Wednesday. The Boeing
737-800 crashed while trying to land at Amsterdam’s main airport, Dutch
authorities say.
The plane broke into three pieces upon impact when it
crashed into a field near Schiphol Airport around 10:40 a.m. It was carrying
127 passengers and 7 crew members. The injured included passengers and crew.
Many passengers were able to walk off the plane through
the three splits. One passenger said he saw injured people trapped between
seats.
The cause of the crash is still unclear.
