Josh Beckett Looks Sharp as Red Sox Down Boston College in Exhibition

Josh Beckett tossed two scoreless innings and struck out two, Clay Buchholz added a scoreless inning and a K and Yamaico Navarro went 2-2 with a home run and a pair of RBIs as the Boston Red Sox knocked off Boston College in an exhibition game Wednesday afternoon.

Boston College plated the first run of the game in the fourth inning when Michael Belfiore hit a two-out RBI single but the Red Sox responded with a six-run fifth inning highlighted by a three-run double from Chris Carter.

Rocco Baldelli and David Ortiz combined to go 0-5 on the day with Baldelli striking out twice and leaving two on base.
