Top-NJ Web Development Agency Holds Office Planking Contest

The contest concluded last Friday and the winner will be announced after a week of voting on Facebook. Planking has grown into a serious international fad. Conceived from a game created in England, the “lying down game” aims to have team members “out-plank” each other. Planking involves individuals lying still, face down, with their arms at their sides – players win by having the most players plank together in the most public places.

Now planking has become a silly activity that even celebrities participate in. Planking pictures have taken over the Internet meme sites and have garnered major buzz especially after an Australian man died in May while attempting to plank off a balcony.  

As a company immersed in Internet trends, VP of Technology Matt Mayernik suggested that Hudson Horizons participate in the fun. The rules required all planking be limited within 299 Market Street, where the Hudson Horizons office is located. All planking photos have been uploaded onto Facebook. The prize has yet to be announced but bragging rights are assured.

“This is one of the perks about working in this industry,” said Mary Manzo, a social media strategist at Hudson Horizons. “Getting social has two sides, business and pleasure. We got to have a little fun with this planking trend and we all shared great laughs from the experience,” she added.
