NEWS SITE EXAMINER.COM LAUNCHES GUN RIGHTS EXAMINERS LINEUP

Pro-gun content well received by national mainstream readership.

Examiner.com, a national news media network with an extensive online presence, has launched a new lineup of columns featuring established pro-armed-citizen writers from across the country.

These Gun Rights Examiners (GRE) represent a cross section of grassroots activism ranging from liberty activist groups to online bloggers to published authors.

What started as a pilot program with David Codrea as the Cleveland Gun Rights Examiner has grown to a network covering the entire country, from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. After Codrea was moved to the National beat, the network quickly expanded and now boasts daily readership in the tens of thousands.

"These are exciting times for getting a forum for the "pro-gun" message in front of a general audience," said Codrea. "And this is only the beginning."

"We've all seen on the news that concerned citizens have been stocking up on guns and ammunition out of fears of new gun rights restrictions from the Barack Obama administration," said new Cleveland GRE Daniel White. "It's no wonder that concerned citizens are excited about the opportunity to get our message out in such a mainstream way."

Los Angeles Examiner John Longenecker observes that the adverse experience of 2008 has raised Americans to a heightened level of suspicion of officials mishandling money, crime and rights, and that Personal Liberty is what is coming to the forefront in gun rights topics.

Examiner.com was launched in Spring 2008 and currently garners more than 4.9 million visitors each month. Examiner is believed to be the first mainstream news network to feature an entire lineup of gun rights columns.

February 25, 2009, the GRE’s independently launched their own Facebook page to better interact with their increasing readership. Within hours, hundreds of loyal readers had joined the page, eager for the opportunity to help the phenomenon grow.

The current Gun Rights Examiner lineup includes:

Howard Nemerov, Austin, TX
F Paul Valone, Charlotte, NC
Daniel White, Cleveland, OH
Dan Bidstrup, Denver, CO

John Longenecker, Los Angeles, CA
John Pierce, Minneapolis, MN
