MLB Spring Training Scores: Jose Reyes Hits Pair of Home Runs as NY Mets Trounce Florida Marlins

Jose Reyes hit a pair of home runs, one being a grand slam, and drove in six runs, Carlos Beltran hit a two-out two-run homer and Oliver Perez struck out three over two hitless innings as the New York Mets pounded the Florida Marlins 9-0 in spring training action on Thursday afternoon.

The Mets put single runs on the board in the first and third and then Reyes hit a grand slam in the fourth to push the New York lead to 6-0. Reyes hit another blast in the sixth as did Beltran finish up the scoring and New York pitchers held the Marlins to just three hits on the day.

Carlos Delgado finished the day 2-3 with a double while David Wright collected a pair of singles in four at bats.
