In the United States, drug and alcohol addiction plagues the lives of thousands every year. Along with this, Drug Rehab Intervention has become a successful tool for families trying to get their loved one help.
When a person becomes addicted to drugs or alcohol the environment takes control of them very quickly and they can become a selfish person. Life becomes all about them with no consideration on how their behavior is affecting everyone around them. An intervention consists of a group of family members and friends, guided by a specialist, who attempts to get the person to seek professional treatment for their addiction. Our addiction treatment program has helped hundreds of people orchestrate interventions for their loved ones. With the help of professionals, intervention can become a success with your loved one ending up in a successful drug treatment program.
Drug Intervention
Interventions have been conducted since the early 1970’s but really became noticed as a successful approach in 2005 when the A&E show “Intervention” came into existence. The Intervention television series profiles people whose dependence on drugs and alcohol has brought them to a point of personal crisis and estranged them from their friends and loved ones.
Interventions are most successful when done with a specialist. When you approach a friend or family member about their addiction one of the first things they will do is turn their attention onto something else. The majority of the time that something else is you and it becomes “I’m this way because of this, and I’m this way because of that”. When confronted by a group the person feels ambushed and betrayed.
Many addiction treatment programs will tell you that the person cannot be helped unless they are fully willing. If this were the case then there would be no reason for a drug intervention rehab. The truth is that a person fighting addiction is only going to be so willing. If you are waiting for your friend or family member to do “jumping jacks” to the front door of a facility then you will be waiting a long time because the majority of the time it does not happen. A professional intervention specialist will help the family all come to an agreement and teach the family how to control the situation if it gets antagonistic.
It is very important to work with a specialist and learn the most effective way to accomplish a successful intervention. Many times interventions fail because friends and family have different opinions and make excuses for the person’s behaviors. This will cause the person not to feel the effects of their behavior. Other times, a friend or family member will enable the person by giving them a place to stay or money to help support their habit.
With the help of a professional you will learn how to enlist friends and family members who will support your cause. You will be taught the importance of picking the right time and place when it comes to confronting your loved one. They will teach you that your best tool will be honesty and to listen to the person being confronted when they talk.
One of the hardest things that might have to occur during an intervention is when you have to state the consequences. This is the part when you have to tell your loved one that if they do not take the help that is being offered to them that they will have to leave and deal with the consequences of their behavior on their own. A trained specialist will help you in making the person understand that you are not trying to punish them, but are trying to protect yourself from their harmful behaviors.
Our Drug Intervention Rehab Program
When a person is ready to take action, don’t wait. This is why it is important to work with professionals who will help you immediately get the person admitted to rehab. Our facility will help you develop a detailed plan for your intervention that will prevent a stopping point from occurring once the person has agreed to enter treatment. Once at our facility, they will go through a series of courses that are aimed to handle all aspects of their life and not just the drug addiction.
Shortly after arriving the client will begin the New Life and Detoxification Program. The program utilizes intensive sweating in a dry sauna, in combination with plenty of fluids and nutritional supplementation to reduce drug residuals from the body, thus reducing continued drug craving and related problems.
After the New Life and Detoxification Program, clients route to our course room where they complete the following intensive, life changing courses:
The Learning Improvement Course
This course enables clients to overcome barriers to study and improve their learning skills, comprehension and ability to apply what they study in the courses that follow.
The Communication and Perception Course
