Daniel Baldwin filed for a divorce from his wife Joanne on Tuesday, after she went on a rampage in their home.
TMZ obtained court documents that show a pattern of violent and disturbing behavior by Joanne. She allegedly threatened to kill Daniel with a knife in front of their two kids. She would often through things and scream during arguments about and wakes their children.
The final straw for Daniel was a fight that occurred on Sunday, during that argument she proceeded to slap him and even hit his face with a phone. He had to call the police, who ordered Daniel to remove the children from the home in fear of their safety. In past arguments, she has pulled a knife on him and has punched him in the face. His divorce lawyer shouldn’t have any trouble getting a dissolution granted.
In the divorce declaration, Daniel also stated that Joanne is “intoxicated in our home,” and often blacks out from drinking too much. The day after he filed for a divorce, Joanne was caught driving while intoxicated in the Portland, Oregon area. For a divorce attorney, the violence and the excessive drinking is justified means for a divorce.
Daniel has been awarded temporary custody of their two children, and has put out a restraining order against Joanne. His divorce lawyer will most likely be able to win him primary custody of the children given the behavior of Joanne.
