The
Coast Guard has reportedly found the missing boat used by four men, including
two NFL players, and have recovered one of those men, Nick Schuyler, who had
been clinging to the overturned vessel.
Coast
Guard officials have not found Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper,
Detroit Lions defensive end Corey Smith or the fourth man William Bleakley but
all three were believed to be wearing life jackets.
The
four men set out on a fishing trip off Florida’s Gulf Coast early Saturday
morning but never returned. By Sunday morning they were reported missing and the
Coast Guard has since searched more than 16,000 square miles off the Gulf
Coast.
It
is believed the men were surprised by a cold front that swept in on Saturday
and that may have contributed to rough seas and the boat overturning. The
search for Cooper, Smith and Bleakley is continuing and rescue crews have
concentrate their efforts on a smaller area around where the boat was found.
