Atlanta
Braves starter Kenshin Kawakami tossed three scoreless innings, striking out
two while holding the New York Yankees hitless in a 3-2 victory in spring
training action on Wednesday.
For
Kawakami it was his second win of the spring and while he walked three over the
first three innings he managed to avoid too much trouble and benefited from a
two-run first inning frame from the Atlanta offense.
Those
two runs came off Yankees starter Ian Kennedy who gave up three hits, all three
of them being doubles.
Of
Atlanta’s six hits on the day five were doubles.
