LeBron James finished with 23 points and 8 rebounds, Delonte West added 15 points and collected 8 steals and Mo Williams chipped in 15 points hitting 3-4 from beyond the three-point line as the Cleveland Cavaliers (48-12) blasted the Milwaukee Bucks (29-35) 91-73 on Wednesday night to clinch a spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
LeBron scored 8 points in the opening frame as the Cavaliers carried a narrow 22-20 lead into the second but the opened that up to 31-22 in the opening minutes before the Bucks trimmed their deficit to three with a quick 6-0 spurt. Cleveland responded with a 9-0 run of their own to extend their lead to 40-28 and by the end of the half they were in front 48-39.
Milwaukee never managed to make much of a run in the second half Cleveland put the game away for good in the fourth when they used a 15-0 run for a 91-68 lead with 3:17 left in the game.
The Cavaliers shot 52% from beyond the three-point line with LeBron hitting 4-5 while Williams hit 3-4 from the same distance.
