Brian Bosworth, Former Oklahoma Sooners Football Star, Arrested on DUI Charge

Brian Bosworth, a former Oklahoma Sooners college football stand-out and later NFL disappointment, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence on Thursday night in Los Angeles.

Bosworth was riding his Harley when police noticed he did not have a plate on the bike and when they pulled him over they detected alcohol on his breath. The 43-year-old then failed a breathalyzer and was taken into custody on a DUI charge.

He is being held on $5,000 bail.

While at Oklahoma Bosworth became the only college football player to ever win the Butkus Award twice as the nation’s top linebacker. After a brief NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks Bosworth turned to Hollywood and has appeared in a handful of movies.
