Wife of Zimbabwe’s PM Morgan Tsvangirai Killed in Car Accident

The wife of Zimbabwe’s Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has been killed in a car accident that has left him slightly injured.

Tsvangirai had been traveling with his wife, Susan, just south of Harare when the accident occurred. Initial reports suggested that Susan had been badly injured but the latest updates have indicated that she was killed in the accident.

According to a Movement for Democratic Change party spokesman the accident involved the PM’s vehicle as well as a truck.

Tsvangirai, leader of the MDC, was just recently appointed prime minister after agreeing to a power-sharing deal with Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe.
