AimPro Sponsoring U.S. Putting Tour Championship

AimPro, which produces putting alignment golf aids, has signed on as the newest sponsor of the U.S. Putting Tour Championship

The USPT national putting championship announced the addition of AimPro as the latest company to sign on as a sponsor of its 2011 tournament, September 26 through October 2 at The Crossings in Carlsbad, California.

AimPro, headquartered in Littleton, Colorado, manufacturers an innovative line of putting alignment aids, all of which help golfers line up their putts more effectively, leading to more success on the putting green.

"The U.S. Putting Tour and AimPro represent a perfect marriage," said USPT president, Jim Hartley. "Every golfer can lower his golf score by putting better and AimPro's products do just that."

AimPro will provide a putting clinic, putting tips and product demonstration at the USPT Championship on Saturday, October 1. The demonstration will take place on the primary practice putting green at The Crossings, which will be the site of the weeklong golf competition. All participants in the putting tournament will receive products samples from AimPro.

The U.S. Putting Tour gives all golfers a chance to win a national golf championship. The tournament is open to male and female golfers ages 13 and older. All play is at scratch, meaning there are no handicaps involved. Scoring is stroke or medal play, as opposed to match play.

The winning professional will receive a check for $10,000. The top amateurs will receive merchandise in accordance with USGA rules on amateur status. The top overall golfer will earn the title of America's Best Putter and the USPT Championship trophy.

Golfers traveling to San Diego for the USPT Championship are able to get discounts at various Carlsbad hotels, as well as savings from stores and restaurants at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets, which are only five minutes from The Crossings.

Anyone interested in entering the USPT Championship can do so at the USPuttingTour.com website. Golfers select the day during Championship Week that they want to play their first round. A total of 72 golfers will advance from Round 1 play to Round 2 on Championship Sunday.
