Teenage Gunman Kills 15 after Rampage at German High School

A 17-year-old gunman entered a secondary school in Winnenden, Germany and opened fire on students and teachers, killing at least 12 people before fleeing and engaging in a shootout with police at a supermarket.

The teenager, a former student at the school, walked into the building in combat gear and targeted students and teachers. After killing at least a dozen inside the school the gunman fled in a car, shot and killed at least three pedestrians and then barricaded himself inside a supermarket in Wendlingen.

It was during that shootout that the gunman was killed but it is yet to be determined if he took his own life or if he was killed by police.
