Having graduated from Johnson and Wales at the top of her class, she has gone on to become the youngest woman be named Captain of the American Culinary Federation(ACF), catered Major League Baseball’s 2003 World Series between the Florida Marlins and New York Yankees, prepared meals for ambassadors of the United Nations, stars such as Will Smith, John Travolta and P.Diddy and became the youngest chef to work at the five diamond hotel group, Mandarin Oriental.
Calvo has published her first cookbook, Maximum Flavor, where she shares recipes and cooking methods. She is also owner of Terra Dolci Corp., a company that distributes her culinary products. Most recently she has founded Young Chefs Cooking for a Cure(YCCC), a fundraising movement for cancer research.
