O’Reilly on Fox News Hoists Pelosi, ABC says Lower Petard Hastert Worse

Acute addiction to power real issue

Homeland Insecurity, authored by Terry D.Turchie and Dr. Kathleen Puckett, both late of the FBI, is one -up on the news outlets at Fox News and ABC –TV when it comes to covering political over -use of privilege and misuse of political power. Both media organizations, jumping on the political misuse of the power platform, made the news on March 11th when Bill O’Reilly of Fox News pointed a finger at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for the overuse of Air Force aircraft for personal use. ABC News responded by pointing a finger at Pelosi’s predecessor, former House Speaker Dennis Hastert, saying that he commandeered more Air Force aircraft for personal use than did Ms. Pelosi.

When it comes to covering misuse of power by both party leaders, both Fox News and ABC-TV must fall in line behind Homeland Insecurity, a book that points to both politicians for jointly compromising national security in order to protect their own political power. Homeland Insecurity reporting on eleven Washington politicians who have compromised national security because of their addiction to power, appeared six months before the Fox News and ABC reports, Both the present and former House Speakers are included citing their attempts to block the investigation of congressional members by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the only agency empowered to investigate them.

The authors Terry Turchie and Dr. Kathleen Puckett, are former FBI experts. Mr. Turchie was a counter-intelligence expert and a Deputy Assistant Director and Dr. Puckett, a clinical psychologist, was a founder of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Program. Their book Homeland Insecurity was just nominated for the 2008 Book of the Year Award for Political Science by Foreword Magazine, the prominent publishing trade magazine for University and Independent Presses.
