Founder & Chairman HarVa, Mr Ajay Chaturvedi was awarded ‘CNN IBN Youth Icon / Young Indian Leader of the Year Award’ for his accomplishments, commitment to society and his zeal to contribute in shaping the future of India. Mr Ajay Chaturvedi is a shining example and a source of inspiration for the entire nation.

HarVa means Green for the villages and stands for Harnessing Value of rural India,  brainchild of entrepreneur Ajay Chaturvedi. Ajay is an ex-Citi where he served in Strategy and Sales positions in Cards and Consumer banking verticals. Ajay begun his career with IBM Consulting in the US and has over 13 years of experience in Management, Operations and IT Consulting across Financial Services, IT and ITeS industries in US, UK, and South East Asia. Founded in 2009, Starting form 30 acres of land for cash crop farming and a small BPO venture in 2010 with just 50 women on its first project in Tikli Aklimpur village, 30 km from Gurgaon, Haryana. Now having trained over 500 women and hundreds of farmers, HarVa is has centers in Haryana, Rajasthan, UP and Uttrakhand employing hundreds of women.

The company plans to provide employment to 10,000 women and affect millions of lives across India by 2015.

HarVa is a unique and first of its kind Rural Enterprise that focuses on creating value in low produce areas where none or little existed by setting up all women rural BPOs, community farming and many other auxiliary services. HarVa is well poised for growth in the near future.
