Search Crews Continue Hunt for Survivors in Helicopter Crash Off Newfoundland Coast

Search crews have launched an air and sea operation in hope of finding survivors of a helicopter crash off the coast of Newfoundland.

Of the 18 people on board the helicopter one survivor has been confirmed while another individual was found dead. The pilot had reported technical problems as it was transporting a crew to an oil platform in the Atlantic. Shortly after making the call the helicopter went down.

It has been reported that the helicopter was equipped with survival suits for the passengers and crew and those suits would aid them in surviving the first 24 hours but extremely cold water and rough seas has left many fearing the worst.
