One pedestrian killed and another injured in Arizona accident

An accident that happened early on Saturday morning claimed the life of one man, and injured another in Las Vegas, as reported in the Las Vegas Sun. The driver of the vehicle is suspected of driving under the influence.

The accident happened around 5am Saturday morning. Jason Glover, 24, was driving east on Naples drive when he struck the two pedestrians in his Hyundai Sonata. He failed field sobriety tests, and was arrested for DUI. Neither Glover nor his passenger was injured.

The two men were transported to University Medical Center. One man died upon arriving at the hospital, but his name has not been released pending notification of his family. The other victim, Adrienne Unis, 41, of Las Vegas was listed in serious condition at Sunrise Medical Center.

The accident is still under investigation.

The Las Vegas Sun stated that this was the 37th traffic-related fatality this year in the Metro area.

Pedestrians who are hit by vehicles often incur serious injuries, which can amount to expensive medical bills. When these individuals hire an accident attorney, they may find they can receive fair compensation for the injuries that they have suffered at the hands of another.

Negligence or carelessness is the primary cause of vehicle collisions, and if an accident lawyer can prove negligence on part of the operator, the victims may consider filing a lawsuit. Insurance companies will try to settle for less than an accident victim is entitled, but an accident attorney will make sure this doesn’t happen.
