American Tourists Among Dead in Bus Crash on Mexican Highway

A bus carrying American and Canadian tourists along a northern Mexico highway was involved in a deadly crash with a tractor-trailer on Tuesday.

Reports have placed the number of Americans dead at eight with four of those fatalities confirmed while the remaining three casualties were said to be Canadian tourists.

The accident is believed to have occurred after the driver of the tractor-trailer lost control and swerved into the bus’s lane just outside Saltillo, slamming head-on and killing the bus driver along with ten others. There were at least 15 injured in the accident.
