NBA Scores: Philadelphia 76ers Shock Los Angeles Lakers with Andre Iguodala Triple at the Buzzer

Thaddeus Young scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, Samuel Dalembert pulled down 14 boars and Andre Iguodala added 25 points including a three-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Philadelphia 76ers (33-31) past the Los Angeles Lakers (53-14) 94-93 on Tuesday night.

Playing at home it looked like the Lakers would cruise to an easy win early after Kobe Bryant buried a three-pointer to put the L.A. in front 19-8 but the Sixers hung around and cut their deficit to 24-20 heading into the second. Philly managed to hang tight with the Lakers as the two teams traded leads but a three-pointer from Sasha Vujacic knotted the game at 50-50 at the break.

Philadelphia stayed close through most of the third quarter and Iguodala had them within 63-62 with 4:33 left in the frame but that would be the last bucket the Sixers would sink as the Lakers closed out the quarter on a 10-0 run to go in front 73-62.

Jordan Farmar extended the lead to 76-62 in the opening seconds of the fourth but a 24-4 run by the Sixers put Philly in front 86-80 with 5:24 left in the game. L.A. managed to tie the game at 91-91 on a pair of free-throws from Pau Gasol and then with 6 seconds left in the game Kobe hit what looked like the game winner but Iguodala found space and buried the three-pointer at the buzzer to hand the Lakers their fourth home loss of the year.
