Man pleads not guilty to Michigan DUI arrest

Michael Thomas Gall of Wisconsin has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges stemming from his arrest in Delta County, Michigan.

Gall, 41, was arrested Friday near Bark River. He was clocked going roughly 85 miles an hour around 2 am. When police began pursuing the vehicle it veered of the road, jumped a curb and became airborne shearing off a telephone pole. The car then crashed into a parked car and then rammed into a nearby building. Both vehicles were totaled, and the building sustained significant structural damage. Gall incurred minor injuries as a result if the accident.

He has been charged with one count of driving under the influence for which he will need to retain a DUI attorney. He is also charged with the attempted assault of a Michigan state trooper. There has been no report of his blood alcohol content. He is still interred at the Delta County jail.

He faces up to one year in jail and fines up to $1,000.

It is alarming the number of people who drive while intoxicated, despite knowing it can have dire consequences that only a DUI lawyer can alleviate. The dangers drunken drivers pose on the streets have led to some serious penalties and fines.

The penalties get tougher and tougher and can entail time in jail, the loss of driving privileges and expensive fines.  A highly skilled DUI attorney is necessary in all intoxicated driving cases.
