Massive 7.9 Magnitude Earthquake Triggers Tsunami Warning in South Pacific

A massive 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Tonga and has triggered a tsunami warning in the South Pacific.

While there was no evidence that a tsunami had developed the U.S. National Weather Service warned that the size of the quake made it possible.

The tsunami warning has been issued for Tonga, Niue, Kermadec Islands, Samoa, American Samoa, Wallis-Futuna and Fiji.
