Speed matters when marketing on Google

For the majority of people, Google is the leader in search, and often employed by SEO and internet marketing. And though Google can be tight lipped about the exact parameters needed to increase a page’s rankings, they have offered to speed up a sites loading time for a nominal fee.

Most companies that use the internet for business and law firm marketing know that current, and quality content can increase traffic to a site. But Google has been a bit elusive about how the time it takes for a site to load impacts rankings in their algorithm.

Speaking from the perspective of a consumer, speed can dictate whether a person visits a site and stays on that site for an extended period of time. The time a person spends on a site is also figured into rankings. Internet marketing providers would be wise to take note, and act accordingly.

To emphasize the importance of speed, Google has introduced a paid service that can increase the speed of a website. This would require you turning over control of your site so they can rewrite the speed, your page would then be loaded by their servers. This service is in the testing phases, and they will even give you a trial run.

Only time will tell if the service is worth the price to the people who specialize in internet marketing, but it is certain the SEO providers will soon rate the new service.
