The NCAA tournament rolls into the field of 32 on Saturday and in the East Region there will be some familiar names taking the court as the Villanova Wildcats, Duke Blue Devils, UCLA Bruins and Texas Longhorns all fight for a berth in the Sweet 16.
In game one of East Region action the #3 Villanova Wildcats will be facing the #6 UCLA Bruins in what promises to be another battle for both teams after each had to fight just to get to the round of 32. Villanova survived a major scare from American U before pulling away late while UCLA had to hold their breath against a VCU team that fell just short of the upset. Tip-off is set for 1:05 p.m. ET from Philadelphia, PA an obvious home-court advantage for the Wildcats.
The East Region’s second game will feature the #2 Duke Blue Devils taking on the #7 Texas Longhorns with both teams coming off relatively easy first round wins. Duke took care of Binghamton without any trouble and Texas was never in jeopardy as they dispatched Minnesota in the first round on Thursday. Tip-off for the Saturday night game will be 8:15 p.m. ET from Greensboro, N.C.
