California man duped into DUI by his ex-wife

In 2008, David Dutcher thought he hit the jackpot when he a met a beautiful blonde on Match.com. He was newly single after 15 years of marriage. He set up date with woman, who ended up being wildly flirtatious, and she made it apparent she wanted him.

On their second date, the woman plied Dutcher with shots of alcohol and ran into an equally attractive friend. The two women continued to consume lots of alcohol and asked Dutcher to join continue the fun in a private location. The trio left the bar and he was almost immediately pulled over for DUI. Little did he know at the time that he was being set-up.

It is the best interest of anyone caught for DUI to contact an accomplished DUI attorney in their area.

After pleading no contest to the DUI, and paying his fine he began to wonder if his wife was somehow involved. He had three children with her, and the DUI arrest affected the time he was allowed to spend with his children.

Recently, an investigation revealed that there were at least five cases of “dirty DUIs” in Contra Costa, California, and Dutcher was one of them, unfortunately DUI lawyers didn’t catch on to set-ups.

The dirty DUIs involved a police officer being tipped off about a DUI by private investigator. Susan Dutcher admitted to paying the private investigator to trap her ex-husband so she would get a more favorable divorce agreement.

Dutcher appeared in court today to address the set up, and possibly change the details of his divorce agreement.

Without the representation of a DUI attorney, the ramifications can be harsh and affect all facets of a person’s life.
