Lance Armstrong Hospitalized after Crashing in Spain’s Vuelta Castilla y Leon Race

Lance Armstrong has been hospitalized following an ugly accident in the first stage of the five-day Vuelta Castilla y Leon  race in Spain.

 

Armstrong was said to be about 12.5 miles from the finish line when he went down with about ten other riders. The extent of his injuries was not known as he was taken by ambulance to a local hospital but it is believed he injured his collarbone.

 

The seven-time Tour de France champion is attempting to make a comeback to competitive cycling and was racing with the Astana team when the crash occurred.
