Lance Armstrong was hospitalized Monday in Spain after
crashing in the first state of a five-day bicycle race in Spain.
The seven-time Tour de France winner reportedly fell
about 20 kilometers from the finish. He is believed to have suffered injuries
to his upper-arm.
Armstrong was taken by ambulance to a hospital in
Palencia. He has withdrawn from the race.
Armstrong announced his cycling comeback in September
last year and launched it in January when he raced in the Tour Down Under in
Australia.
A rep for the 37-year-old has not commented.
