Anthony De Longis and Matthew William Dean Guest on EOE to Announce Win for Best Action Short for BLOOD TRAIL TWO at 2011 AOF

The Action On Film (AOF) Festival Was Held July 22-30, 2011 in Pasadena CA

Anthony De Longis and Matt Dean of BLOOD TRAIL – PART TWO were interviewed by Dawna Lee Heising of Eye on Entertainment about their win for Best Action Short at the 2011 Action On Film (AOF) Festival.  In 2010, BLOOD TRAIL – PART ONE took first place at the AOF. De Longis is one of the great action directors and fight choreographers in Hollywood.  After working with hundreds of Hollywood's best actors from Tom Cruise to Harrison Ford and having fought the legendary Jet Li, it was time for De Longis to break out on his own and create this memorable, thrilling and action packed western film. Set in Texas in the mid 1800's, Blood Trail tells the story of Love, murder, revenge and justice. It opens with beautiful vistas and a somber tone, and then quickly escalates into epic western battles that feature De Longis' weapon of choice - the Bullwhip. BLOOD TRAIL – PART TWO is produced by De Longis, Matt Dean and Mary De Longis. Blood Trail Two stars Anthony and Mary De Longis and Kendall Wells.  To see the EOE interview with Anthony De Longis, please go to:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJzy9MMmPVA

De Longis is well known for his recurring role during the first two seasons of the TV series Star Trek: Voyager, as First Maje Jal Culluh, leader of the Kazon-Nistrim.  A very experienced swordsman, he is also known for the his roles on Highlander: The Series, as Lymon Kurlow in the third season of episode "Blackmail", and as Ottavio Consone in the fifth season episode "Duende". A martial artist and weapon master in several disciplines, he played a swordsman opposite Jet Li in the 2006 martial arts epic Fearless, and gave Harrison Ford extensive whip training for the 2008 film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He also taught Michelle Pfeiffer how to use the bullwhip for her role as Catwoman in 1992.

Blood Trail Part Two producer Matt Dean has produced numerous films, including THE DEVIL WITHIN starring Gray Damon (Friday Night Lights) and Bill Oberst Jr. (Secret Life of Bees) (www.thedevilwithinmovie.com), TWO JACKS starring Danny Huston, Sienna Miller, Jack Huston and Jacqueline Bisset (www.twojacksfilm.com) and now BLOOD TRAIL PART TWO with Anthony De Longis.  Dean also runs a website with producing partner Julia Verdin with the goal of helping indie producers navigate the difficult waters of today’s film market. The website includes interviews and information vital to becoming a successful producer (www.successinfilms.com).  For more on Matt visit: www.mattdeanfilms.com.  To see the EOE interview, please go to:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1ydqyNFV3w

About Del Weston – Founder of AOF

Del Weston is the creator and founder of the Action On Film (AOF) Festival. As a filmmaker and director he has been involved in television, film, video and pay per view. Weston saw a need for a festival that would show the work of artists who might otherwise be marginalized or not shown at all. His associations with a wide range of business and personal contacts allowed him to quickly develop the program which would lead to the successful event that we all have come to know and love. Not one to rest on past accomplishments, Weston is now working to create full on distribution channels, online streaming and of course methods of distribution whereby filmmakers can show their work, be paid for their work and move forward with successful careers. He is also in the process of making the AOF Fest a mentor festival that will produce projects for filmmakers giving them greater access to the Hollywood machine and success.   For more information, go to:  http://www.aoffest.com/delweston.html
