Octuplet mom Nadya Suleman has fired free child care
service Angels in Waiting claiming the group was a “poor fit” for her family.
Suleman, the single mother of 14 children, fired the
non-profit group Monday. Her lawyer, Jeff Czech, says Suleman and Angels were
paired by attorney Gloria Allred, who previously filed a complaint with Child
Protective Services about Suleman. Allred later threatened that without proper
care, Suleman’s children could be sent to foster homes.
“It was a poor fit from the star. Suleman felt
uncomfortable by some of the things that Gloria Allred said, starting with her
complaint to CPS,” says Czech.
Four of the octuplets were released last week to
Suleman from Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, where they had been since their
birth in January. Czech says Suleman had hired several teams of nannies to help
care for her children.
“She’s using nannies that she’s paid for, and everyone is
doing great,” Czech says.
