Availability and addiction to Lorcet
Combination medications that contain the chemical hydrocodone are all US Government regulated and you are required to have a prescription in order to obtain any medications of this nature. Unfortunately, and because anything containing hydrocodone is now very popular as a recreational substance, a considerable amount of hydrocodone medications leave the pharmaceutical supply chain and is trafficked on the streets.
Consequently, there are increasing numbers of violent crimes involving these meds as well as hundreds of cases of serious illness associated with these medications. The DEA includes any drug containing hydrocodone as a member of the illegally trafficked prescription drugs that are on their annual “threat” list. Additionally, the medical community and other health officials now consider any medication with hydrocodone as an ingredient as being a serious public health threat.
Lorcet dependency
Whether you are taking any hydrocodone medication recreationally or regularly, it is almost guaranteed that a chemical dependency is going to eventually occur. Any individual that is suffering with a Lorcet dependency should seek out help by entering a Lorcet drug rehab and undergoing treatment for their addiction. From that point on, the individual will be in the recovery stage in the hopes that they are successful and will eventually return home to their community where they remain substance-free for the rest of their lives.
As was mentioned above, when used recreationally or regularly, there is a high risk that a dependency is going to develop. It may only take as little as 6 months for physical and psychological addiction to occur. The harsh reality is that legal or illegal users of the drug can eventually develop a tolerance and become addicted to the drug. Increased usage and withdrawal symptoms that occur when the individual either stops or reduces the intake of hydrocodone are the two most prominent warning signs. The withdrawal symptoms will be much more pronounced when the addict is undergoing a Lorcet drug rehab program.
Both of them are clear indications that indicate the addiction is developing. However, the following are additional warning signs to be aware of:
- hoarding the drug so there is always an adequate supply
- increasing your dosage without the advice or supervision of your physician
- getting multiple prescriptions from multiple doctors
- taking the drug when you are not in pain
The third one above is commonly practiced among addicts.
