Roadside Bomb in Afghanistan Kills 7, at least 9 Injured

A roadside bomb exploded in the Sabari district of Afghanistan’s Khost province on Wednesday killing seven people and injuring at least nine more.

According to reports the explosion occurred near a van that had been traveling on a road used by foreign and Afghan troops. All the casualties were said to be civilians.

The attack has been blamed on Taliban insurgents who have frequently clashed with U.S.-led coalition forces in Khost.
