Fired Nanny: Nadya Suleman Only Cares for Fame

A nanny from Angels in Waiting is hitting back at octuplet mom Nadya Suleman, claiming she cares more about fame than about her babies.

Suleman fired the free AIW help claiming they were “setting her up to fail” and said she felt as if they were spying on her. One of the fired nannies, Linda West-Conforti, appeared on The Dr. Phil Show Wednesday and alleged Suleman would only feed and care for the babies when a camera crew was in the home.

“This woman does not care for these kids. She is in [it] for the paparazzi, the media. That is my opinion. I’ve been there for a week. I’m the eyes, the ears and the mouth of these little children,” West-Conforti said. “Nadya only fed her babies when a film crew was in her house. That’s the only time that woman ever volunteered to feed a child.”

West-Conforti also claims the mom of 14 was often unreachable and was always out shopping.

Suleman fired the nonprofit organization March 23 after learning the nannies had filed complaints with Child Protective Services over how her household was run. She hired her own nannies to help care for the children.

West-Conforti claims the nannies are unfit to care for the babies and says one may even have tuberculosis. “I was supposed to be there to train nannies, to train Nadya. What I get is Hispanic-speaking ladies that are showing up, showing positive for TB,” she said.

Although Suleman did not appear on Dr. Phil, she did phone in to defend her actions. “I felt extremely uncomfortable in my own home. I felt like a stranger in my own home. I felt ostracized. In addition to that, there was such poor communication…[and] incessant negative energy,” Suleman said.
