Country singer Dan Seals died Wednesday after a long
battle with cancer. He was 61.
Seals is one of the most successful pop singer-turned-country
singers of all time. He was originally part of the pop duo England Dan and John Ford Coley. His
first country single ‘Everybody’s Dream Girl’ was released in 1983.
He went on to record 11 No. 1 country hits between 1985
and 1990. Seals won the Single of the Year award in 1986 for Bob. That same
year, he and Marie Osmond scored the Vocal Duo of the Year award for ‘Meet me
