Teen Success Teleseminar Planned for March 31

The founder of the academic summer camp, SuperCamp, will be leading a 45-minute teleseminar for parents, providing practical tips on how to help teens thrive during these challenging times

The co-founder and president of one of the leading academic summer camps in the world, Bobbi DePorter, is hosting a free teleseminar for parents the evening of March 31 on the subject of Teen Success in Challenging Times.

Parents will gain valuable advice on how to help and support their teen, including learning strategies straight from SuperCamp that can be applied at home, gaining insights into their teen's world that will help strengthen communications, and discovering ways to build their teen's confidence and motivation.

Ms. DePorter is holding this seminar at this crucial time because parents are seeking help in dealing with their teens now more than ever. It's tough to be a teenager at the best of times. With the constant barrage of talk of the recession and wars, many teens are suffering at some level where they feel the world is conspiring against them, often causing them to communicate less with family members and withdraw into the world of technology.

Bobbi DePorter is a youth expert, having co-founded the learning and life skills teen summer camp, SuperCamp, in 1982. Since then, over 50,000 students have graduated from the summer enrichment program. Bobbi is the author of Quantum Learning, The Seven Biggest Teen Problems and How to Turn Them into Strengths .

Ms. DePorter will be joined on the teleseminar by Mark Reardon, COO of Quantum Learning Network, a former high school principal and co-author with Bobbi of Quantum Teaching: Orchestrating Student Success and Amy Smith, a former teacher and current SuperCamp lead facilitator.

Parents interested in listening to the teleseminar can visit the home page of the summer enrichment camp where they will find a link to a pre-event web page that provides the call-in phone number and a special PIN Code. The 45-minute teleseminar will take place at 9:00 pm eastern and 6:00 pm pacific time on March 31.
