NCAA Basketball Elite Eight West Region Schedule: #1 Connecticut Huskies Face #3 Missouri Tigers for Trip to Final Four

The NCAA basketball tournament is heading into its final stages and Saturday features a West Region showdown between the #1 Connecticut Huskies and the #3 Missouri Tigers with the winner heading to the Final Four in Detroit.

With so many questions surrounding Connecticut’s ability to win without Jerome Dyson the Huskies have turned it up a notch with A.J. Price, Hasheem Thabeet and Jeff Adrien putting up dominant numbers through the first three rounds of the tournament. The Huskies cruised past Chattanooga in their opener and then crushed Texas A&M before knocking off Purdue in the Sweet 16.

Missouri was flying under the radar when the NCAA tournament began but after beating up the Memphis Tigers in the Sweet 16 there are many who believe their fast-paced attack could cause trouble for the Huskies and neutralize the defense of Thabeet. Missouri knocked of Cornell in their first-round game before surviving a battle with Marquette in the second round.

Tip-off for the Connecticut Huskies and Missouri Tigers is scheduled for 4:40 p.m. ET.
