Hearing Again (http://www.openfit.com/) has been selling hearing aids online for more than two years. In that time, we have mostly sold traditional hearing aids that you need an audiologist or hearing aid dispenser to program. This has been a challenge for some customers as some people find it difficult to find someone locally to make the adjustments on the hearing aid if needed.
Recently, we have been excited to exclusively offer a hearing aid that our customers adjust with their computer. Because we are the manufacture, we are able to offer the highest technology at a very reasonable price. This hearing aid is incredible small, light-weight and powerful. Case Study #2 – Art from South Carolina
Hearing Loss: Art has normal hearing to 4000Hz. Art has a moderate hearing loss from 4000Hz to 8000Hz.
Previous Hearing Experience: Art has worn a Siemens Artis Life open-fit hearing aid.
Hearing Needs: Art is missing clarity of speech. Since Art's hearing is so good in the low range, he needs hearing aids that have very low circuit noise.

Art's Response: "I was attracted to the Perfect Pro hearing aid because it is user programmable and price. I am a busy person and am tired of going back to the audiologist to adjust my hearing aids. Plus, since I bought my Artis Life aids online, I have to pay a fee every time I need an adjustment. My first thoughts about the Perfect Pro is it is very easy to adjust on a computer. I have a computer background, but I have showed the unit to friends that are less computer oriented and they have no problems using the software. The hearing aid itself is superb! The sound is much more natural that the Artis Life, which itself is a very good hearing aid. The hearing aids have no feedback. Since my hearing is so good in the low range, I can often hear the hearing aid humming. This is very annoying and I have a hard time finding any hearing aid that does not produce this sound.
