Suicide Bomber Kills Nine in Attack on Police Compound in Afghanistan

A suicide bomber has killed at least nine people and injured several more after detonating an explosive at a police compound in southern Afghanistan.

At least five of those killed at the government compound in the Andar district were said to be policemen. According to several reports the suicide bomber was wearing a police uniform when he attacked.

Andar is about 10 miles south of Kandahar,a city that has seen a lot of activity from Taliban insurgents who oppose the current Afghanistan government.
