Parents of teens and pre-teens are invited to tune into a free teleseminar that will air on Tuesday, March 31 at 9:00 pm eastern/6:00 pm pacific time. The subjects to be covered in this 45-minute event include teen success, better family relationships, and tips for parents to help their teens through these challenging times.
Call-in information for this free teleseminar is available at the academic summer camps corporate website by clicking on the SuperCamp link from the home page.
The teleseminar will feature a conversation among SuperCamp co-founder and president, Bobbi DePorter, COO of Quantum Learning Network, Mark Reardon, and Amy Smith, a lead facilitator with SuperCamp. Mr. Reardon is a former school principal and Ms. Smith is a former teacher. Ms. DePorter is a recognized leader in youth achievement, having started her residential summer camps in 1982.
Ms. DePorter also is an author of 18 books dealing with youth and adult success, including her most recent for parents of teens, which was based on learning from her teen summer camps. Students who have attended the teen camps over the years have shown increases in grades and also increased self-esteem, confidence and motivation, three key attributes that are critical to success at any time and especially now.
Parents who have pre-teens will also find the teleseminar of interest and value. SuperCamp’s middle school summer camps for students entering grades 6-8 have been a living laboratory for SuperCamp’s educators in terms of what works with pre-teen and early teen boys and girls.
On the other end of the age spectrum SuperCamp’s college summer camps, Quantum U, has proven to be an invaluable 8-day experience for students entering and already in college. The learning from Quantum U also is factored into the advice that Ms. DePorter will share during the teleseminar.
More information on SuperCamp and Quantum U is available by visiting the SuperCamp.com website or by calling 800-285-3276.
