Viverae CEO Michael Nadeau Writes About Growth of Wellness Sector on HealthNewsDigest.com

The CEO of Viverae, Michael Nadeau, is a guest columnist on HealthNewsDigest.com, a nationwide provider of health-related news online.  Nadeau’s article entitled “Managing Healthcare Costs Fuels Growth of Wellness Sector” focuses on the growing demand for corporate wellness due to employers needing to contain their health care costs.

Nadeau cites Viverae’s own growth in client base and personnel is an indicator of where the wellness industry is heading.  Viverae, a national leader in employer health management and services, has increased its number of employees by 80% between 2008 and 2009.  For the coming year, the health management company is looking to hire approximately 30 more employees. 

To house all these workers, Viverae will be relocating its headquarters to new offices that more than triple its current space of 7,000 square feet to approximately 24,000 square feet. 

Viverae’s CEO points out that the company is in great shape financially, as its revenue for last year increased by 50% and is projected to climb to 70% for the remainder of 2009.  He attributes this growth to the financial pinch that employers are feeling and their desire to seek a viable solution to address rising medical costs.

The company recently received a capital infusion of $6.5 million from Frontier Capital, a private equity firm based in Charlotte, NC.  Nadeau writes that similar investments will be made in the wellness industry in the near future due to increase demand in prevention and health management programs.
