Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth is expected to be charged with DUI
manslaughter on Wednesday, nearly three weeks after he struck and killed a
pedestrian in Miami.
A
blood test revealed that Stallworth’s blood-alcohol level was .12,
significantly higher than Florida’s legal limit of .08, when he hit 59-year-old
Mario Reyes on the morning of March 14. According to reports Stallworth is
prepared to surrender in court on Thursday.
Reyes,
who was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident, was said to have been
trying to cross the busy street to catch a bus when Stallworth hit him.
