Donte Stallworth to Face DUI Manslaughter Charge

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth is expected to be charged with DUI manslaughter on Wednesday, nearly three weeks after he struck and killed a pedestrian in Miami.

 

A blood test revealed that Stallworth’s blood-alcohol level was .12, significantly higher than Florida’s legal limit of .08, when he hit 59-year-old Mario Reyes on the morning of March 14. According to reports Stallworth is prepared to surrender in court on Thursday.

 

Reyes, who was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident, was said to have been trying to cross the busy street to catch a bus when Stallworth hit him.
