Drug Cartel Boss Arrested in Mexico

Mexican police have arrested one of the most powerful drug cartel bosses operating out of the border town of Juarez, nabbing Vincent Carrillo Leyva near his home in Mexico City.

Leyva is said to be the deputy leader of the Juarez cartel which is believed to be responsible for much of the violence that has left more than 8,000 dead in the drug wars over the past two years in Mexico.

Among the charges Leyva is accused of include money laundering and cocaine smuggling.

The arrest comes as the United States and Mexico continue their work to solve the growing violence problem along the border as well as the smuggling of drugs and guns.
