NBA Scores: Philadelphia 76ers Move into Fifth in Eastern Conference Playoff Chase with Win Over Milwaukee Bucks

Lou Williams score 21 points on 7-10 shooting, Andre Iguodala added 20 points and Andre Miller finished with 18 points and 11 assists as the Philadelphia 76ers (39-35) knocked off the Milwaukee Bucks (32-45) 105-95 on Thursday night to take over the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff chase.

The first quarter featured runs from both teams as the Bucks used an 8-0 run to overcome a 13-7 deficit but after giving up the lead Philly went on a 7-0 spurt to move back in front 20-15 only to see Milwaukee use a 7-0 run of their own before the two ended the frame tied at 24-24. Milwaukee opened the second quarter with a 17-6 run that gave them a 41-30 lead and they pushed that advantage to as many as 13 before settling for a 59-50 lead at the break.

As hot as the Bucks were in the second quarter they fell flat on their face in the third as they couldn’t hit a shot from the field for nearly five minutes and Philadelphia managed to tie the game at 61-61. Milwaukee was able to reclaim their lead and were up 76-69 but the Sixers closed the quarter on an 11-3 spurt to take an 80-79 lead into the fourth. With 5:45 left on the clock the game was knotted at 89-89 but over the next four minutes Philly put the game away with a 16-3 run.

Philadelphia shot 50 percent from the floor on night, out-rebounded Milwaukee 44-28 and got to the free-throw line 43 times.
