Pittsburgh Police Officers Killed in Standoff with Gunman

Three Pittsburgh, PA police officers responding to a domestic disturbance call were shot and killed by a gunman who allegedly feared a gun ban that he believed the Obama administration would pass.

A total of five officers were wounded in the standoff that lasted several hours. The gunman was eventually arrested by officers.

The identity of the gunman has not been released yet several fiends of the man have commented about his disposition prior to the shooting, one saying he had called and stated “I am going to die today. ... Tell your family I love them and I love you.”

It is believed the gunman had several high-powered weapons in the house when police arrived around 7:00 a.m. ET on Saturday. When the officers arrived several hundreds of rounds were fired, striking at least five of the police officers.
