Pakistani Police Find 44 Bodies Inside Shipping Container

Pakistani police working on a tip uncovered a shipping container believed to be used for human trafficking and upon opening the container discovered about 150 people inside, 44 of them already dead.

The majority of those inside the shipping container were said to be Afghans who were allegedly being smuggled to Iran. Police said the victims all died from suffocation and many were believed to have been dead for several days.

Survivors were taken to a hospital in the Baluchistan province.

According to reports the shipping container was owned by a firm that supplied NATO forces in Afghanistan.
