NBA Scores: Andre Miller Records Triple-Double as Philadelphia 76ers Lock Up Playoff Spot with Win Over Detroit Pistons

Andre Miller scored 21 points, dished out 12 assist and grabbed 10 rebounds while Andre Iguodala finished with 31 points and pulled down 9 rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers (40-35) knocked off the Detroit Pistons (36-40) 95-90 to lock up a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Iguodala scored 15 points in the opening frame as the 76ers managed to carry a 21-19 advantage into the second quarter but the Pistons started the second with a 17-3 run to build a 36-24 lead but Philly cut their deficit to 50-46 at the break.

The 76ers then opened the third quarter with a 12-3 spurt to jump back in front 58-53 and the rest of the frame would go back and forth until Detroit closed the final three minutes with a 10-2 run to lead 74-68. Richard Hamilton gave the Pistons a 77-70 advantage early in the fourth and it looked like Detroit had control of the game but Iguodala brought Philly back and put his squad up 83-80 with six straight points. Tayshaun Prince evened the score for the Pistons at the five minute mark and then Rodney Stuckey put Detroit in front 88-87 with a pair of free-throws with 2:16 left in the game.

Philly responded and reclaimed a four-point lead before Stuckey closed the gap to 92-90 with 22 seconds left in the game but a pair of free-throws from Miller and a missed three-pointer from Prince was enough for the 76ers to seal the win.

The 76ers are now 1.5 games behind the Atlanta Hawks for the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.
