President Barack Obama Makes Unannounced Visit to Iraq

U.S. President Barack Obama has landed in Baghdad, Iraq as part of an unannounced visit, his first in the country as Commander in Chief.

Obama had just left Turkey where he spent two days following the G20 summit as well as NATO meetings last week.

The White House had not announced Obama’s trip to Iraq for security reasons. It is not known how long Obama will be in Baghdad or what his itinerary will be while in the country.
