Narconon Suncoast Rehab Center Saves Daughter's Life

Narconon Suncoast Rehab Center addresses a young woman's drug addiction, saving her from a life of criminality and addiction. Parents tell their story of how they sought help for their daughter's drug addiction and found it.

"I am writing to you today to express my gratitude and heartfelt appreciation in the processes and programs you are running at Narconon Suncoast Rehab Center..." begins a letter from a parent of a recent graduate at Narconon Suncoast located in Spring Hill, Florida. Mr. Waser goes on to tell of his daughter's decline that led him to find Narconon Suncoast Rehab Center.

Mr. Waser's daughter, Cheryl, was like any other child growing up. However, when she began to get involved with drugs a new personality emerged. "My wife and I were at wits end with our daughter, Cheryl, who had managed to break every rule, avoid every suggestion, disobey every law, and generally destroy her life in every way possible," Mr. Waser explains.  Their own stress as parents had reached epic proportions.  "The stress in our family's lives during that period was almost intolerable."

Mr. and Mrs. Waser finally reached a point that many parents reach when faced with a son or daughter addicted to drugs who go into a life of drug related crime and deceit. This is a point where a parent feels they can no longer do anything to help their child.

"We couldn't stand the lies and thefts anymore. We asked her to leave, knowing we would be getting that call that she was dead from overdose somewhere and we were needed for identification." says Mr. Waser.

Cheryl didn't end up in a grave, but instead in jail.  She asked her parents if they could find it in their hearts to help her just one last time and get her into rehab. After discussing it among themselves the Waser’s knew they didn't want to give up on her.  They spent several weeks researching all possibilities when they were finally recommended to Narconon Suncoast Rehabilitation Center.

Narconon Suncoast Rehab Center has an outstanding success rate of 76% of graduates achieving permanent recovery from addiction. Suncoast graduates are followed up with 2 years after treatment and are still drug-free. The answer to this high rate of success lies with their experienced staff use of the Narconon program, a non-twelve step program. The Narconon program not only detoxifies the addicts body from drug toxins and thereby eliminates cravings, they also train their students on specific life skills courses that address the reasons they sought drugs out to begin with. The student leaves Narconon Suncoast drug-free and with new skills and knowledge with which to handle life's problems.

What happened to Cheryl?  Mr. Waser reports, "It has now been 1 year since we started down the road and the end result has been wonderful. Our daughter has her car back, a job, an apartment of her own, a bank account she manages and her life back in her hands that is livable and has future possibilities just like everyone else.  She can now look forward to a bright and uncompromised future where she can make good decisions and perhaps one day have her own family.

"My wife and I are so grateful to the job that the superb people at Narconon Suncoast Rehabilitation Center have done. They have turned around an absolutely destroyed young lady and made a wonderful young woman of her with their structured and tough approach to getting off the junk. Without Narconon Suncoast, my wife and I would surely have been attending a funeral for our daughter, but because of them and their program, we will hopefully someday be attending her wedding," concludes Waser.
