New Look Eagles Beat Ravens in Preseason Game

The NFL had its first live action games of the preseason last night and fans nationwide tuned in to see how the Philadelphia Eagles would play. The Eagles made big moves during the abbreviated free agency period signing Nnamdi Asomugha, Justin Babin and Vince Young among others.

In the Eagles first series quarterback Michael Vick came out looking like he hadn't lost a step during the lockout as he threw for 74 yards and  touchdown in his only drive of the game. His counterpart Joe Flacco played two series, threw for 60 yards and led his team to a field goal.

The game was played as expected with starters getting very few reps to avoid injury heading into the regular season. Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson did not play in the game after recently ending his holdout and joining the team. On their first defensive play of the game the Eagles lined up with Asomugha, Asante Samuel and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie all in the backfield with Samuel playing safety.

Notably for the Ravens, running back Ray Rice had only seven yards on five carries in the game. Ricky Williams, who was recently signed, was inactive for the game.
