Two Children Among Three Killed in New Orleans Home Invasion

Two children and a woman were killed early Saturday morning in the troubled Trianon Square neighborhood of Terrytown just southeast of New Orleans when gunmen kicked down an apartment door and opened fire.

According to police a 19-year-old woman was shot in the back while a 23-month-old boy and a 6-year-old boy were both shot in the head while in bed. A third child, an 11-year-old girl, was shot several times and is listed in critical condition.

A search of the apartment uncovered crack cocaine and marijuana.

Police are believed to be searching for two suspects.
